James Horner

One of my most favourite composers in film, died in a plane crash yesterday morning.

It is hard to think we will not be hearing his scores which included Star Trek The Wrath of Khan and Titanic in future cinema.  The guy was really a genius.

This really sucks.  :'(

He was given something like 3 weeks to score Aliens (including having an orchestra practice and record the music)
Cameron kept changing the film, but had already announced the release date and would not delay it.

Horner said it was only 80% of what it could have been and swore he'd never work with Cameron again.
Of course years later they eventually did work together again on Titanic.

Oh ---steaming pile of meadow muffin---.. it was him on the plane then?

I thought the reports were saying they could only find the pilot and no one else.  :-\
