Mame freezing for 5 secs during multiplayer gameplay

Hey guys during multiplayer gaming like tmnt mame freezes for 5 secs randomly during the game then continues to work without issue.

Anyone heard of this? I'm running mame .160 with .160 romset.

Seems to happen only once near the beginning of the game then it's fine thank god.

Any advice would be appreciated.
