Castlevania: Spectral Interlude
« on: February 17, 2015, 05:42:15 pm »
For the  Castlevania fans...I saw this from the gaming press lately. Looks pretty great, and the soundtrack is hard-fire! Love that crunchy sound!  :applaud:  I'm going to give it a shot tonight.

Even if Konami lost all interest in making proper Castlevania games, Dracula's Castle can’t be kept in the void forever. It just so happens, that this time fans were the ones to aid in it’s return.

It was originally invisioned as a „demake” of Castlevania II: Simon's Quest but eventually turned into an original independent game for ZX Spectrum.

Castlevania: Spectral Interlude is an action-adventure platform game with elements of RPG. It merges well known elements of classic games with some new ideas. It tells a new story which tries to remain consistent with the canon of original franchise and explains why Belmonts disappeared for many years.

Dracula's Castle is awaiting new guests!

Great find! I'm a total Castlevania junkie. I'm actually playing thru Castlevania 2 for the NES right now. I plan on giving this one a try once I'm done. And it actually gives me an excuse to add yet another emulator to the cab. Thanks!  :)

Man, this game is great.  I've managed to get pretty far now, unlocking some abilities that really make some of the level design puzzles pretty cool to figure out. The game really opens up once you get double jumps :)

Does it actually run on a ZX Spectrum?
