Yes, you refrained, but you also did not go back and remove the posts. IIRC there's ~700 of them out there.

When we set that in the past, people complained about not being able to update old posts for ongoing projects. I'm open to it being either way as people prefer.

Leave it so people can update stuff. People acting in this way are few and far between. No point making things more difficult for people who want to be here.

Personally, I've been here 5 years and have only seen someone do it twice. And one of those culprits is already back, so I'm not sure what the point was...
