mamewah and FCE
« on: January 02, 2004, 01:29:00 am »
I have FCE ultra (the modified version that uses escape to exit) set up on my cab but I have a problem. The game starts and I here sound but the screen is blank. I can start FCE ultra on its own in windowed mode and play the game but if i try to switch to full screen the game keeps playing but the screen goes blank. I know the is an FCE problem but i thought you guys may have seen it before.
Also, Is there a way to move the date and driver info in mamewah's layout designer or is it always on the bottom right side? I can move the artwork images(drag them) but can't seem to move the "game info" boxes.

Thanks

Can't help you with FCE, but you should be able to drag the driver info box in the Layout Designer, just as you would with artwork object(s).  There is no 'date' so I'm not sure what you meant there ???

Date the game was released ;)! The proper term is "year+manufacture" I figured it out. I had artwork turned on and in the same place as the year+manufacture box when I tried to move the it it would select the artwork box(which is bigger). Once I moved the larger box out of the way I was able to grab the smaller one.
Any one a FCE ultra expert?????

Thanks for the help
Todd

What resolution settings are u using in FCE Ultra?  I've never experienced this problem myself, but maybe it is a setting somewhere.

I started out using the default resolution and then tried 640x480. Works fine in windowed mode but the screen goes blank then you expand to full screen. (either by default of f4). the game is still running because you can hear sound.
Any thoughts?

Thanks

Perhaps try using the non modified version to see if you get the same problem.
