Help Identify this chassis..
« on: October 11, 2014, 10:06:54 am »
Hi guys.
Regular old "Help identify" topic here.
Got this cabinet which I just powered on and played for a few minutes.
It had to warm up for the hight of the picture to "build up".. slowly stretching to its vertical hight.
After about an hour it collapsed.

After looking at the chassis, seems some caps sprung a leak.
Have ordered some 220uf50V caps, but seems I need more parts.
The chassis is also missing the POT for the horizontal hight regulator, looks like it is replaced with a couple resistors.

Anyone able to help out?

Shipping something from the U.S. to Canada for repair/exchange?  Please use USPS to avoid (additional?/excessive?) shipping charges.  PM me if you have any questions.

Might be a Chenghong CH218 or CH 888. You msut use an Isolation transforme. Some one has changed one of the controls... right in front of the black control is an electrolytic electrolytic cap that needs to be replaced, slao that large black cap has a slight bulge. It is the input power filter cap, looks like it has a bulge.

I will check tomorrow if we have any of these boards, but odds are slim.
BTW what is the problem?
Good Luck!

The image has collapsed.
It is hooked up via an isolation transformer.
I have ordered 220uf50V caps, but there are certainly more work needed on this board as I look further.
Any luck on getting a match?

I better be pulling it out of the cab then, hard to reach from where it is installed.
Be back with more later..
