Best Android-based jukebox software?
« on: December 18, 2013, 03:30:04 am »
I'm working on a pretty nifty looking Jukebox right now and was thinking of using something like this for the guts: http://www.ebay.ca/itm/New-8GB-7-Google-Android-4-1-Capacitive-Screen-Dual-Camera-Tablet-PC-Wifi-FG-88-/131069360996?pt=US_Tablets&var=&hash=item1e8457bb64#ht_6279wt_1135

I was wondering if anyone had any experience with Android jukebox software and can share their input?

Here's what I want in the software:

  • Looks and acts like a jukebox - maybe playlists, maybe some sort of customization of the skin but not really mandatory.
  • Supports artwork
  • Preferably supports WMA, but will convert my library if I need to

I won't bore you with many details as to why my music library is in wma, but one reason is it is the easiest compressed export option from my recording software and I have a lot of original music (half of my house is a recording studio) that I'd like to include on the juke.

I've found nothing I like.
TouchJams lets me use my Android tablet as a controller...which is great.
However it's not the best looking option.
