Just another Control Panel
« on: November 22, 2003, 07:31:35 pm »
Well it was taking SlikStik too long to make my control panel for my Arcadia project and I happened to get a delivery from Ultimarc. So I spent some time yesterday and today to throw this puppy together.

It is 20"x10" and uses a Happ competition 8 way for Joystick 1 and an Ultimarc E-Stick  4/8 way (which can also switch to 45 degree for qbert etc...). It also has pinball buttons on the side.

OK here is the back. I cut a decent sized hole so I could get to the screws on the IPAC. I still need to paint the plywood on the back black. I am also having problems with my t-moulding. In the front I have it going around a 90 degree angle. The glue doesn't want to hold it in too much there. I will have to see how it goes. It is in a clamp right now with some 24 hour glue. I hope it works out.  :'(

OK last pic and info...
Here is my not so beautiful wiring job. I haven't zip-tied it up yet because I haven't tested all of the buttons and sticks yet to verify the wiring. I think I have up down and left right backwards on sitck one. Who knows what else.  ::)

Oh yeah one last thing...
Credits.
Thanks to Ultimark for the cool E-Stick and IPAC. Love them both so far.
Thanks to SlikStik for taking a long time because I probably wouldn't have gotten around to this otherwise. ;D
Thanks  to Serpent, Zeitgeist, and  Keypel (as well as many others) for CP inspiration.
Oh yeah thanks to all of the guys that contribute to mametrixreloaded Vector site.

Anyway thanks for looking! Let me know what you think!
