B&O MX4000 shaking image
« on: July 13, 2013, 12:14:27 pm »
Hello Pro's.
I just bought an Bang and Olufsen MX4000. I choose this telly for it's short neck on the tube.
This for a better fit in my cabinet which i'm building, but also for the adjustments which i can make when in the service menu.
Connected to the telly's scart is a jamma 60 in 1.
On other TV's  it worked nice, just a bit off-set image.
On the B&O the image is shaking a lot.
When i connect a decoder to the B&O's scart there is no problem at all.
In a schematic to use scart for our hobby i saw that there are resistors and capacitors used also.
I didn't do that, could that be the cause of the shaking image?
Any thoughts?
Thanks for your answer.
Rini.

Just bumping this as I have a beovision 1 with what sounds like the same problem although I'm sure it wasn't like it when I first got it (or I certainly didn't notice it anyway)

Is the whole screen shaking or is it more at the left and right edges?

It's the whole screen.  I ordered some resistors and capacitors to put in the sync and RGB line. See if that helps.
Keep you informed.
Thanks.

Well. I just put a 500 Ohm pot in the sync line, and this solved the problem.

Hi, I've decided to do a build my self and I have a sweet deal for an MX4000 on hand.

I do have a few things that are worrying me.
How do you get the TV to automatically power on and select the Scart or S-VHS ?
I would really like a one button solution that power up both the TV and PC at the same time - having to use the remote as an extra would be a bit of a downer.

Thanks in advance / nanoflower

The TV starts automatically on at scart. There is a 12V and 5V at the scart, i don't know which one is for the TV to go on.
But the problem i had was that it won't go on when power on the telly and the jamma board simoustainly.
So i used a delay from Moeller like in the attachement. On this way the jamma board powers up 10 seconds later and the telly goes on.

Hi again.

Do you use the CRT_Emudriver for this set?
If yes, then how did you define it in vmmaker.ini and Mame.ini ?

Hey. I don't have a PC with Mame or such in my cabinet. I use the Jamma 60in1 board. Think you have to ask somebody else. Succes.
