How to operate Billabs BL27CB0P-U
« on: October 02, 2013, 12:08:14 pm »
Hey guys, I usually hang out on other forums, but I have a monitor that has been of interest to people here in the past, it's the Billabs (apparently US Wei-Ya distributor?) BL27CB0P-U pentasync flat monitor.  I recently acquired a Blast City from someone in Florida who installed this monitor in it.  I understand it's a super cool monitor that does CGA all the way to XGA and 1024x768.  But for the life of me, I can't find any manual on it, and I can't get it to display any picture at all.  I've hooked some games up and they boot up, make sound, and take input.  I've got JAMMA games, CPS2, Naomi, Atomiswave, and I can't get them to show any picture, either from the VGA cable or JAMMA edge.  My experience level with monitors so far is just adjusting them with the flyback, chassis, or front controls.  I guess this monitor is supposed to autosync?  I hear there is some menu with this monitor, how does that work?  It doesn't help that the Blast City wiring with the 001 loom and everything is so much more complicated that every other cab I've had.

So my question, how can I test this monitor and eventually make it work?  I can snap some pictures if it helps.  I'm pretty sure this is a PEBCAC and I don't know how to plug it in, or something stupid like that.

Also, I understand this monitor is rare in it's capabilities and they aren't being made any more, so if someone in the Seattle-ish area has a Nanao 29" trisync they want to trade me for it, I am open to that. ;D
