Hey guys!

I have been reading these boards since my freshman year in high school. I made a few attempts at a fully home made cab (where I learned that I am not a carpenter) and finally bought an empty, torn up NBA Jam cabinet that was converted to an Area 51: Site 4.  I took a few pics while building it, but I worked pretty fast and never had a chance to post it!

So low and behold, my cabinet!

Notes: Had the original art, but it was painted, covered in vinyl, painted over again?!, VINYLED again, and painted once more, where side art stickers were added. Needless to say I took a heat gun to it and cleared all of it off to the bare wood. (a 4 hour job)

All the wood is original except for the back door and control panel. I cheated a little bit as I had 2 xbox fight sticks and no xbox, so I gutted them and cut out holes with a lip to mount the whole assembly. Turned out very well. The light has to be just right to see the outline. I will probably change this down the line.

The pics posted do not have the tmolding on, which I just recently added. The parts are sanwa and the monitor is a 23 inch lcd (with a bad viewing angle, will probably remount it because of that.)

It still needs a name, a new marquee, coin door lights, and marquee lights, but those are pretty low on my to do list!

I really like the "digital camo" control panel.
If you're replying to a troll you are part of the problem.
I also need to follow this advice. Ignore or report, don't reply.

I was going for tv static. I was going to have a friend paint it a particular theme, but she backed out so I went for neo geo red after I already ordered the cpo. The squares on the preview image looked a lot smaller!
