Arcade VGA 3000 w/ WGM2474-U4TS16Q

Posting here as well as on Ultimarc.

Going to try to be as concise as possible - I really need to get this setup going soon. I do not have the cabinet here with me so I need to make long trips to get to it when i work on it.

I am running a Windows XP SP3 machine inside an old Sega Spiderman cab. The monitor used is a Wells-Gardner WGM2474-U4TS16Q (often referred to as a K7400 model?).

Here is a breakdown of what was done:

1. Made sure emus and FE were up and running no prob prior to installing
2. Installed ArcadeVGA and booted the machine. I have a viewable image but the resolution isn't the best. (But this proves the card works)
3. Installed the Driver and restarted the PC, I see the boot logo just fine.
4. After windows starts, the vertical display jumps like crazy OR I get a blank screen (jumping is WAY more common.) adjusting VHOLD does no good (it'll slow but it's still unviewable)
5. I can boot into VGA mode by pressing F8 and I get a viewable image but @ 640x480 at 8-bit. In the past I was able to select a resolution that works from the Galaga bug icon (forgot name of utility, lol) and reboot the PC in normal startup to get this to work.

Three things: First - I only have about 6 modes to choose from (I will visit the cab today and write them down and post them) Second, the moment I select one, it starts to jump again and I have to reboot in order to get back into VGA mode. Thirdly, this also happens if I select a different color depth using the XP display properties page.

Of note, the original monitor for the game is not present, it was upgraded with this one after that weird law that 25" monitors had to be hi-res? This one was manufactured in Jan 2006. The galaga icon does not give me the lower resolutions I need (They start at 800x600 @ 32bit  and I can't seem to get Windows XP to accept a lower resolution in normal startup. Also, I did get an error about my graphics adapter not being supported or something or other.... more details later.

I am going back today, will start in VGA mode, uninstall the driver, run the removal utility found on the CD and attempt again. After the driver is installed, I read that I should set the resolution as low as I can right before rebooting. Will try this and post results. Is there any other information you guys need from me to help resolve this issue? It is rather aggravating... Thanks in advance.
