Mouse to Quadrature converter....
« on: November 14, 2003, 12:27:30 pm »
OK, in my quest to figure out how to emulate a trackball of a dedicated cabinet, I've figured everything out except for one thing...

Does anyone know of a physical interface that will translate PS2/Mouse inputs to Quadrature Trackball outputs?

If such a device exists, my problem is solved.  There are numerous trackball to mouse converters, but how about one in reverse?

Thanks,

-Mercuryam

Even after your last thread you started about this I am still totally confused as to what you are trying to accomlish.  When you say 'dedicated cabinet' do you mean you have an original arcade cabinet with original hardware and pcb and original arcade trackball?  And you are trying to mimic those movements on a PC or another dedicated cabinet or what?  You need to write down EXACTLY what you are wanting to do and be very clear about everything.
