Okay I have Mame on my Xbox, but some of my most beloved games, such as Ikari Warriors, Victory Road, etc, use a rotary joystick. I use them on my upright Mame cab, but I have never played them on my big honkin' T.V. wich, would be cool.
I will list what I think I can do, and you guys let me know if I am off in Wonderland, or if I am on the right track.
I have an X-Arcade controller in a "Streetfighter" setup with Xbox controller adapter on it.
http://www.x-arcade.com/two-player.shtmlI have two spare 12 position rotary joysticks designed for above mentioned games.
http://www.retroblast.com/reviews/joysticks/happrotary.htmlI want to purchase Ultimarc's Rotary Stick to USB connector.
http://www.ultimarc.com/rotary.htmlAnd a USB to XBox controller, adapter.
http://www.jandaman.com/games.mvc?p=usbxbo...egory_code=XBOXThe procedure will be to:
1. Swap out the standard joysticks in the X-Arcade control panel with the Happs Rotary Joysticks.
2. Drill a small hole out the back of the X-Arcade control panel for the USB cable.
3. Attach new sticks to the Ultimarc Rotary Stick to USB connector.
4. Connect the USB cable to the USB to XBox adapter, then to the XBox Player1.
5. Connect the X-Arcade's XBox controller adapter to the Xbox Player 2. (Because the buttons still need to be connected.
What do you think? Is there an easier way to do this? A better way?
