Need some MAMEWAH help.
« on: November 12, 2003, 09:55:53 pm »
Just started using it and I have a few questions. Is there a way to assign an exit button to return to the desktop? I use my cabinet for both MAME and PC games and I don't want to drag out a keyboard everytime I need to go to the desktop.
Another thing I need help with is the artwork folders. I'm not sure how I should use these. I pointed the first one to my SNAP folder which has a single zip file with all of the screenshots but nothing is appearing in the software. Thanks.

The default is escape, you can also go through the menu to get out with the default p1 and p2 keys.

You have to unzip your snaps, then they should appear.

Check out this really cool configuration utility-

You'll have to cut and post the whole link for it work. It makes configureing mamewah even easier and exposes a lot of configuration options you probably didn't even know were there.

Well escape gets me out of a game but doesn't exit Mamewah. I figured out how to use the P1 and P2 keys. I guess I was just looking for an easier way to do it rather than going through the menus. Thanks.

while in the mamewah menu, hit escape (i.e. if you'r in a game do it once to exit the game and once to exit mamewah). The behavior of the ESC key can be specified in the mamewah menu under misc options I think...

I'll have to check that out. I tried escape while in the normal MAMEWAH screen and it didn't exit. I didn't notice anywhere to set this. I'll check under MISC. when I get home tonight.

By default [Esc] should send you back to Windows (as long as the menu isn't visible).  Are you using a version >=0.96?  (The feature was added in that version)
