Monitor Turns off after few secs
« on: June 02, 2013, 05:59:28 am »
I have a Nanao MS8-26SU arcade monitor in a Sega Virtua Stiker cab which I'm trying to convert for MAME usage.

I've attached a Video Amp for VGA output and the card is a 3000 Arcade VGA however the signal I get is pretty poor - I get like a triple image overlapping and unfocused.  Have tried playing with the tuners but no joy.

I've then tried to change the jumpers from HIGH to LOW so that maybe at 15hz I might get it to work however on that jumper the monitor turns itself off after just a few seconds.  If I change it back to high it remains on as usual.

I've seen another jumper I could change called REVERSE - do I need to change that as well?  I've attached a picture here which shows the HIGH / LOW jumper (cable not attached at time of taking pic) and the NORMAL / REVERSE jumper.

Any help please...I'm nearly ready to throw in the towel with this monitor and get a TV or LCD....

down to your resolution, you need to set the monitor to 15khz via the LOW jumper and then set your avga res at something like 320 x 240

You don't need to worry about the reverse jumper, thats for situations like if the monitor is being used with a mirror.
