  • Yeah, owning a MAME cab only leads to owning real ones. MAME just isn't good enough. It's a gateway drug.

Wow, a seven year old post bump.
Introducing The Tone Ledger, a premium 5x7 inch, 100 pg notebook designed for guitarists, bassists, keyboardists...pretty much anyone who enjoys using amps and pedals. Great for experienced musicians, hobbyists, or students just getting started.

Yes it was sure an oldie.

On another subject I was looking at some of the older project announcements to see what I might have missed.   Went to the first page just for a lark and I found a post for my second bartop cab.  That was in 2002.  Been here for a while I guess.  ;D ;D

If you use the CP for console emulation, 8 buttons could be useful.

But how many console games are cabinet-friendly that actually use that many? I play PSX games fine with only seven, but I know not to even bother with certain types of games.

I don't disagree.  I personally have a pair of Logitech Rumble Pads because I don't like the CP for most console games.  I was just saying that the only advantage I have heard of for having 8 buttons (or more) is for console emulation.
