Issue Resolved!!
« on: April 19, 2013, 06:33:39 pm »
 :banghead:

So while unloading the game from the bed of the truck today, (the cab has two wheels on the back for mobility) the sheer weight of the game allowed the momentum to continue the game sliding down and eventually onto its back!

Fortunately I was able to check things out and then power on the unit. Some damage to the cab (expected), the game powers on and goes through its boot up, game STARTS!!! :applaud:

Here is my problem, I have never worked on a monitor before. The screen is dark and tinted RED. I was going to start with the brightness and contrast adjustments and then the colors on the board (which should be located off of the tube?) to see if this is an easy fix. Anything I should watch out for while diagnosing this problem?

What else may have become damaged from the fall that I should look for?

the gun controls are on the neckboard
what i would do is unplug the game
and make sure the neckboard is seated right
a fall like that can make the board jolt off
or at least come lose
on boot if it is red, that can some time's mean u have knoecked a chip on the mobo lose
