Can anyone with a Zaxxon-style Sega cabinet spare a little help?
« on: December 29, 2010, 02:20:49 pm »
Looking for dimensions for the Sega Zaxxon-style cab for a virtual 3-d model. If anyone's got one, or a Star Trek, Space Fury, Congo Bongo, Eliminator, Tac/Scan or Monster Bash, and could spare a little time to make some measurements of it, it would be a huge help. If you can, here's a layout of the dimensions needed below. Also, just to clarify a few of the details, just in case they're not clear -

"M" is the height of just the visible part of the marquee.
"N" is the height fromm the top of the front of the upper marquee panel to the bottom of the front tof the lower one.
"Q" is the height of the chrome strip right underneath the control panel.
"R" is the height of the front of the control panel.
"S" is the distance between the coin mech panel and the chrome strip.
"T/U" are the dimensions of the coin mech panel.
"V" is the distnace between the coin mech panel and the edge of the front woodgrain panel.
"AA" is the front edge of the side panel (without the t-molding) to the marquee, not the panels holding the marquee.
"GG" is the glass from where it touches the speaker panel to where it touches the very top of the control panel.

This is for a project for the 3dArcade MAME frontend, not for the Google Sketchup group of models.  Much thanks in advance to anyone who can help out.  And if anyone would like the plans when I'm done, I'll gladly make them available.

Did you ever get this one sorted jibmums? I want to build a scratch built Altered Beast cabinet in this style and the dimensions would help me out a lot.

Cheers,
