Metal Slug
« on: January 30, 2013, 12:27:58 pm »
Hi there,

A couple of years back I started construction on my very own MAME arcade cabinet. I finished it *slightly* behind schedule, but by a lack of time and space it kind of retired to the basement a couple of months later. I moved a couple of weeks ago and the cabinet came with me, as I have more room in my new place.

Everything works fine, except for Metalslug, my favorite game. No matter how many different MAME builds I make and how many different Metal slug ROMS I download, it keeps telling me I'm missing one or more ROM/CHD files.

What's my obvious mistake and how do I fix it? All my other 5000 ROMs seem to be working :p

1) Do you have the Neo Geo bios in rom path?
2) The rom version and the mame version should match.  Ex 144, 148, etc
3) Have the parent set (if one, can't recall on slug)?
