ST must be doing something right as they have clearly sold some, ive never seen one of there tables in person but i imagine they are very good quality, though thas not to say mine isnt, all my freinds that have seen it are uttlerly astonished by its finish and what its capable of in fact most say i'm selling too cheap, but i feel its a fair price.

Its still for sale by the way and sat waiting to go to a good home ;D

Cant wait to start another

Nice looking table.  I've thought about building a coffee table cab myself but powering the thing is what gives me pause.  I really don't think I'd be able to convince the wife that having a coffee table with a cord attached is a good idea, and our floor is concrete so I couldn't just run an outlet to the middle of the living room.  I'm rambling now but good job!

So once again, we find that evil of the past seeps into the present like salad dressing through cheap wax paper, mixing memory and desire.

One way to approach this is to mount an IEC power connector similar to this into one of the legs and when not in use, unplug the power cable at the IEC connector and coil it out of the way.

If you want a more permanent solution, a cable protector like this or one with a built-in extension cord might be the answer.

Thats exactly how i have done it, though it does not plug into the leg on this version, it just plugs up underneath, my latest version and any that get ordered will more than likely have the plug in the leg.

Too be honest the cable really doesnt look that bad on the floor anyway

Another idea for running the power cable can be to pull back your carpet and cut a small channel in the underlay then a small slit in the carpet itself. Remove plug off cable and thread through carpet in underlay channel, this way now no hump in carpet where cable is...

Yeah that would work quite well, but if you want to move the table your a bit stuck with a cable stuck out the carpet.

Well you'd pull the cable out and you'd be left with a small slit in the carpet, not ideal I agree...
