derbymanc:
I didn't have a manual with the board, might need to get onto them about that.
the monitors a standard 19" VGA (15 pin connector)

This is how i've got my power wired up, i've also got 3 spare wires attatched to a connector that i've got no idea what they're for. them wires are 1, 16 and 5, 1 and 5 have 2 of the small wires coming out of the harness and these have been attatched to the power supply

derbymanc:
This is how my gameboard is connected, it's getting on my wick now as i know it's something stupid i've done/haven't done.

cheers

BobA:
Here is the manual for a 278 in 1 vertical board that looks the same as yours.  Apparently sw1 on the board controls the video and must be set right for you to get a display on your monitor.  Never buy a board without a manual or at least the option to download one.  ;D

Bit 1 of SW1 must be on for VGA display.    Bit one is the lowest switch on SW1 and is located on the RHS of the board with the jamma connector facing down.   In your pic and the manual it is blue and looks like it only controls 2 bits.

Cheers for that Bob, i'm learning a lot on my first build. Am hoping to start another one at some point but the missus is gonna take some convincing ha ha.

Does the rest of the wiring look okay and can you confirm for me that i've got the board plugged in the right way. The lights coming on the power supply but it's not coming on on the board?
