This event was a hell of a lot of fun.  They just put a highlight reel online, so I thought I'd share.

Looks neat.  I never knew anything like that existed.

So it is a pretty much post-apocalyptic renaissance fair? A lot of that actually looks photo realistic to Road Warrior. I wonder if there was  a feral kid there. The thunder dome seemed a little undersized, but the fact that it was actually used makes it awesome. Very cool.

Pretty much except that a costume is required for entry, so there are no gawkers. You also had to be over 18, so no feral kid either, although there was a boomerang throwing contest where the winner got a custom made metal boomerang (looked just like the one in the movie, just not as sharp).

The thunder dome was tiny, but still very cool to have a crowd chanting "Two men enter! One man leaves!", and the amount of fake blood getting splattered around added a lot to it :)  Also, they're already working on constructing a full sized thunderdome for next year.

This looks fun.  I didn't check the link in the vid but what state is this located?  I like the fact a costume is required.

:censored: Video cool but NSFW!! :censored:

Well, it might be safe but I'm not sure as I quickly hit the backbutton once the stripper started, so be warned!

On the one hand I can't believe that exists.
On the other hand, it makes perfect sense and though freaky, is probably a lot of fun.
On the other hand...

I blame the Internet.

Theres no nudity in the video, the only possibly NSFW scene is when it shows a girls butt in a g-string for about a second.  The stripper part cuts from when she starts to take it off to after shes put on another top.
Of course I work in a place where if you haven't seen the image from goatse (also known as hello.jpg), then several people will send you links until you do, so I'm probably not the best judge on what is or is not safe for work :P

California.  Takes place in the Mohave desert.

Another awesome year of the event.  I'll just say NSFW, there's no nudity or swearing in the video, but I'm erring on the side of caution this time :P
