Who all is going to be there?
I'll be there from 8AM to ??? ('till I'm done bidding on junk or bored enough)...

What kind of stuff are you looking for?

Me?
I'm just looking for random stuff (joysticks, cps, game PCBs, etc...) & maybe a monitor or 2...
I don't plan on picking up any more cabs, but I might if it has some stuff I want in it...

~tmasman

hey...
Maybe we can meet for coffee/coke & talk shop? Just a thought...
I'm not a freak!...
Oh wait...

I didn't see the doo, but I had my eye out for him...
I've read too many horror stories online...

But I did see another shady character
Long thinning blonde hair & trucker's ball cap
There was a VERY red head with him in a VERY low cut halter top too...  :o
I think she was there to distract people from what he was doing... ;)

He was constantly digging around behind the games when people were being asked to stop that. You'll know him if you see him (& her... :o ::) :P)

Hey I just asked that!
http://www.arcadecontrols.org/yabbse/index.php?board=6;action=display;threadid=12396

Uh yeah, anyway I'll be there!!!!  With the parents, the wife, the kid.....  I guess I won't be nerding it up as much this time, deoh.  I should be there around 10 or so.  Really just going for fun this time.

Yeah I remember the redhead from the last auction, strangely kind of fun to look at   :P
Next I'll be on fries, and that's when the big money starts rolling in.

DOH!
I missed that one entirely...
Sorry about that. (here I am seeing the "Kids play" article posted again thinking Why don't people look around & stop double posting... & here I am doing exactly that... Sorry!)

Yeah... I'll be alone this time... My wife doesn't care that much for this stuff (but she wants to play the games... go figure.)

Tmas, I'm getting on my bud for not getting with you on that cab yet.  BTW just so everyone knows Tmas is a stand up guy.

No need to get onto him...
We've already got a time for me to bring over the cab... (Sunday afternoon)

Anyhow, they had a "consession stand" in the back corner last time... I figure that would be as good a place as any... They also kept the cocktail cabs & smaller things in that area...

I'll be wearing a blue & white plaid shirt & probably cargo jeans. I'll be wandering around most of the time, but if I decide to relax a little I'll probably end up some where around that corner.

I just ordered a BYOAC hat from Pixelhugger (so I won't get it for a week or 2...) otherwise I'd be wearing that...

Well...
See you guys there!

(By the way... most people call me Thomas in public... t-masman doesn't roll off the tongue so eloquently)

I should be able to find Tmasman no problem as I met him last time.  I finally decided to order my hat this last round too so just look for one of the few guys with all of his teeth still intact.  And I'll have the whole family train behind me.
My daughter should be easy to pick out....

Looking forward to see you all there!
Next I'll be on fries, and that's when the big money starts rolling in.

Holy cow...
There was SOOOO much stuff there this time.
They literally had twice as much floor space (opened the divider up to the second exibit hall) & pretty much filled it all up.

Unfortunately there were enough people that most stuff still went pretty high. There were some deals to be had, but there were also some dorks bidding way too much on some stuff.

I think Nannuu is the only one who scored anything Saturday... I'll let him tell you about his prize(s) though.

I stayed the latest (left @ 9PM), but they still hadn't gotten over to the cocktails or table items... I really wanted a few otf the items over there, but I had already been there 13 hours & was ready to go home.

The only prices I remember were the 2 empty vids at the back...
An empty cruddy MsPac all scratched & faded, but no water damage... stripped of everything except the wiring (& it was old & falling apart) & the marquee light fixture (no light)... $100!!! There were 3 insane guys... I was willing to go up to $50, but these guys really wanted it...

Then there was a water damaged empty Tempest. Cracked marquee overlay, NOTHING but the water damaged wood & ruined side-art... $40...

They had about a dozen cocktails including i think 4 or 5 pacmans... a couple space invaders & a few others...

HUNDREDS of vids... and a ton of damaged crane machines that no one wanted... haha! (you know... stuffed animals... joystick operated crane... The ones that are never strong enough to actually lift the toys...)

All in all it was a pretty cool day though. I would have liked to get my hands on a few things, but I'll just have to wait for December 13th...

It was nice to meet you guys! (Neil, Shane, Will & your whole clan!, a few others that I didn't get your names (yeah... I'm bad w/ names... sorry.)

Until next time...

Shane told me about the $100 empty thrashed Ms Pac Man, my only thought on that was you could probably build that for less, but you would never be able to say it was an actual Ms Pac Man...my guess is that you'll see that badboy on the front row with all the other high dollar games sooner or later.

Man, I was definitely impressed with the number of games, crane machines, ride ons, and pool tables.  It was a like a  big toy store for guys.  My favorite was the wrecked KISS pinball that went for $650, fully restored and autographed it would go for 10K.

2 player and Sit down driving cabs... Tmas how much did these go for?  How about the cocktails?

I had an idea for those  crane machines: fill them with chips and snacks for those freeloaders who come over and eat your entire pantry.  Play to eat now suckers!

Definitely had a good time meeting you guys...I gotta hear what Nannuu picked up.

Oh, another cool thing I had never seen before was a Millipede/centipede/missle command/bowling machine.  It was brand new and had a Happs 3" high ball Tball in it.  It was SWEET.

I will be at the December auction as well, but not until the late afternoon when the cheap stuff comes up.   I'll probably not buy a thing at that one either.

confirm a Mr. Do Rag sighting as well....also confirm he bids up his games.....a lot

Too bad I had to leave early, I really wanted to try for that box of trackballs!  I'm glad no one else stayed long enough to tell me it sold for $2 and I missed it.

I picked up a Sega Hot Rod for $150 with 3 working wheels/pedals and 25" monitor.  My plan is to Mame it as an all driving cab.  I'll probably leave the original board and such in but I'm not sure yet.  This works out great since I really wanted to play Off Road and Super Sprint as well.  Mostly the cab is in great condition except for the metal control panel where the wheels are mounted.  The worst part is the size of the cabinet...giant, freakin giant.  I hope I never move!!!!

My mom also picked up a Mr Do cab but way overpaid for it at $150.  Serious burned in monitor and damage to the cab.  The marquee is pristine though  :)  Once I get it all fixed up I have to ship it to Utah....ech.

It was nice meeting everyone.  I'll also be there in December with my shiny new hat!
Next I'll be on fries, and that's when the big money starts rolling in.

Aww.. they opened up the 2nd half again this time?  Bummer, I missed it.. no money anyways, though, so.. oh, well.

I've resolved to wait until the first auction after X-Mas at this point.  Prices should be about as good as they are going to get after the X-Mas spending rush, and there is no way I'd go to the one during it.
