How many mirrors were used in multi-monitor cabinets?
« on: September 27, 2012, 11:15:44 pm »
You know, like Darius, Ninja Warrior, 6P X-Men, etc.   Is it just a single half-mirror that is set at a 45 degree angle between the two monitors?  ie, one monitor passes through the mirror and the other is reflected?

I've been toying with the idea of creating a custom two-monitor cabinet using a beamsplitter/halfmirror, but wanted to know more about how these old cabinets were set up.  I've seen some videos of the Darius Burst cabinet that uses two 32" LCDs and the 'seamless' display is pretty darn good.

Anyone know the inner workings of one of these multi-monitor cabinets and how much a large half silvered mirror would cost?
