screensaver that switches between games
« on: May 08, 2002, 01:57:03 pm »
Does anyone know of a program or frontend that I could load up that would load random mame roms, let play for a few minutes and then switch to a different rom?
A coin input would stop this process so the person could play whatever game was displayed or a press of another button could return to the frontend.  I am using Win 98 so I am looking for a Windows proggie.  Thanks.

the new version of rd will most likely have this as an option for a screensaver... with the new system it should be farily easy

Yea, I'd love an option that would attract-mode random games from a list as a screen saver :)

That would be serious kick-butt in an arcade cab.

Perhaps even multiple lists?  (ex: Vertical Games / Horizontal Games, or Games of category: Sports, Vertical Scrollers, Fighters, Maze, Classics...)

Great, I thought about this since I started planning to build a cab :) Especially when havin a party, even without playing you'll always have fun to look what comes next :)

Howard, how can I bribe you to to build in a trigger-signal coming out anywhere (LPT, COM) to switch my motor-mount? With all these features in the RD, how can I dare to make this all on my own... (I'll even keep on using Win98 if necessary ;) )

I have been using mame32screensaver but it only switches games per each time the screen saver starts and it really wants mame32 v .37 12 but will use .60 just creates it's own (.37 12)config
