No sound in many games in groovymame? (HD4350 related? CRT_Emu?)

<< < (16/20) > >>

Calamity:
The other option that comes to my mind is the -samplerate, but I don't think it will affect either.

Only test on regular MAME from now on. Create a fresh mame.ini (mame -cc).

Now, you're saying that 60 Hz games run fine. Let's try forcing mk to run at 60 Hz:

mame mk -speed 1.09

Endprodukt:
I will do that when I'm back home. Any specific settings I should do to the fresh Mame.Ini?

I'm asking because normal mame without additional settings runs fine.

Calamity:
Just the -switchres option, because the sound problems only happen when running full screen, wasn't it? Remind to create a fresh ini for this.

Endprodukt:
Totally screws the screen and sound is like before. :(

Calamity:
Well the distorted screen is not relevant, probably the base modelines installed by the driver are a bit off for your monitor, you can check this in Arcade_OSD selecting the same resolution which MAME is using here (probably 400x256).

So the facts are that regular MAME, when running full screen, without any sort of vsync or other special feature, and a capable CPU, produces sound stuttering in your system.

Now, if this has any relation to the CRT_Emudriver, is something that is beyond my understanding.
