Getting attract videos to work in Mala and layout

 Hey guys,

So I have been working to get the videos for MAME to play in MALA for a couple of days now doing various methods and researching and I am failing epically. I will do a run down of what I have done, what I am using below....any help with be greatly appreciate.

-Using latest version of mala(1.74 beta with nanocade layout) and mame (.146)
-attached in options via snaps and via attract (at same time and seperately)
-taken the set download from this site and converted it to mp4 trying it both ways.
-have redownloaded the codecs for both avi and xvid
-MAME Config I put link to my file with the vids in attract mode
-verified the file names match
-used the mamevideotester and it works
-Pulled my hair out a few times.

I am really getting to my wits end and want this to work desperately, screenshots pull, marquees pull but these videos will not! Am I possibly putting the vids in the wrong area or is there something more I need to do to the layout (prehaps not doing something right with it all together?).  Please let me know any suggestions or questions that may help in this and again guys I really appreciate it.

Try installing the ffdshow codec:
