Anyone Stuff a Makvision 27" Tri-mode in an MK cabinet
« on: October 03, 2011, 11:03:50 pm »
Does it fit, and does it mount on the factory mounts ? Any pictures would be great. i'd like to see the windows desktop as well to see if it's blurry or crisp and clear like an LCD.

Thanks
Chris

A 27" should fit, but the factory monitor mounts will either need to be modified or new ones constructed to accommodate the larger size.

I put a brand new one in a Big buck hunter cab and didn't have to change anything except the power plug ends. Molex type.

IIRC, Big Buck Hunter is designed for a 27".  MK is designed for a 25".

thanks for the pictures, I wonder if it's a direct bolt in or if anything needs to be modded to fit ?

Chris did you end up getting a Makvision 27"? I am closing to pulling the trigger on one but it's fit into my MK2 cabinet is the only thing holding me back.

Wow quick response! How was the fitment? Easy install with no modification of the mounts?

My monitor is fairly crappy with a lot of burn in, and needs to go.

bolts right in with the mounts in the cabinet, zero modification needed, make sure you order the power cord to save the frustration. Its a flat screen with an included bezel to close the gap around the rounded plastic bezel in the cabinet now. I just put some tape on the back of the new bezel to hold it to the monitor. Whatever you here about makvision is crap, it's the nicest picture of any of my 9 cabinets.

Not to start bring up an old topic but if that's a 27" MakVision in there it looks like it fits in there perfect! In the German thread that is.

It's cool. No worries. The 27" he has in there actually looks like the viewable area might be 25". I know the 29" Makvision's have a 27" viewable area.
