MameWah 0.96 Problem
« on: September 24, 2003, 12:10:56 am »
Installed the new 0.96 version... It deleted my mamewah.cfg file as stated in the doc since it is from an earlier version (doc states it deletes all cfg files although it did not).  Problem is that it didn't create the new mamewah.cfg file to use and thus never starts up.  Am I missing something?

Thanks...

A lack of MAMEWAH.CFG will not make it fail to start.  More likely something else...

Do you have all the layouts stuff present & correct?

I ended up having to remove all the emulator config files from the FILES directory and recreate.  Mamewah deleted the mamewah cfg file but not the emulator specific ones.  Unfortunetly it would not start with the old emulator cfg files still in the files directory.  Second issue I have not been able to figure out (this one was present before 0.96).  I can't seem to get the Options Background image to work.  Are there certain specs that need to be followed when creating them?  Here is a picture of what I get...

I don't know why it didn't work right for you.  I just tried it and it deleted all the old CFG files, and created new ones perfectly.

Lets see your options screenshot...

You need to go into the Layout Designer, click on each of the objects, and click Object Properties > Transparent.

I think that is all :)
