Ever since I was a young, impressionable youth I've wanted an arcade cabinet in my home. Preferably Street Fighter II. I played the hell out of the home console ports of my favorite arcade games for years - on the SNES, Genesis and the Playstation - but it just never felt the same. I had an insatiable need to be standing up, pounding on giant buttons and dropping quarters into a large hunk of wood.
I'm old now. Old enough to remember televisions without remote controls and New Coke. I've also got some disposable income to finally make my dream of owning an arcade cabinet a reality.
Without further ado, my progress as of now on my cabinet, based initially on the Project Mame cabinet.

All build threads should start with this picture. Humble beginnings.

After lots of measuring, some drawing and more erasing, I have two (almost) complete sides. I had initially forgot to but the angles on the tops of the two panels.

Testing that everything lines up and that my math isn't as horrible as I think it is. Seems good so far. The back door openings were an adventure themselves. I had never done a plunge cut with my circular saw but it seemed to work out
relatively well.

I don't have picture of it yet, but with some measuring and some (surprisingly hard to find in Canada, 4mm machine screws) the 19" monitor is ready to mount.

And here we are yesterday. I should probably be outside in that blazing sun, but I'd rather stay in my dungeon for now.
