Hardware Stretching in Dos Mame
« on: September 15, 2003, 05:34:23 pm »
Can the config file be set up to allow hardware stretching in dos mame or is it only a windows dos feature ?.

If it is not available in dos mame are there settings that can be changed in the config file to achieve the same effect ?.

Can dos mame be set to cover the whole screen with vertical games ?.

The video card I was going to use is an ATI 32mb Radeon VE DDR DVI+TV running dos mame.

There is no hardware stretch in DOS MAME.

If you use older (.37 series) DOS MAME, you can use -tweak, which will get most games running in full screen, especially if you're running Scitech Display Doctor.

I believe AdvanceMAME may be your best solution for newer games.

If you have a video card capable of doing hardware stretch then you should be using a better os than dos.  As simple as that.  :)
