R-Type and Snow Bros. marquees
« on: September 20, 2011, 12:01:24 pm »
Is there anyone out there with very good scans of the R-Type and uncut Snow Bros marquees?

R-Type:
I don't want the cartoonish version, I want the one with the boss of the first level and the ship, like this one and this one.

Snow Bros:
As you can see from this photo, we're supposed to see the top of the head of the monster on the right and the complete top of the snow sled at the bottom. The best I've found so far is this one (actually it's on a half-dozen websites but it's all the same PNG file). The problem with this marquee is that this game was a conversion kit, so most people will have a marquee that was cut to size to fit the target cabinet.

R-type Bartop any help?

http://forum.arcadecontrols.com/index.php?topic=101184.0

Unfortunately no, his marquees are custom-made. I need the original from the official arcade cabinets.

I find it a bit strange that such a classic game with so many fans only has crappy low-resolution marquee scans available for it.  ???

I've looked at places that sell marquees, such as EMDKAY, but they only have the R-Type II marquee.  :dunno
