lock mame

HI

Is there any way to "lock mame" during playing.  when my boy play in my arcade some times, popup the menu of mame (cheat,deep setting'etc).

It happens during a game, maybe he presses a few buttons together.
anyway  if there was an option to lock it, ?

Check and make sure none of your controls are mapped to the "tab" key either directly or via a shift+key combination.  That is the default keycode to bring up the in-game menus in Mame.
