K7000 powers on, display is warped...
« on: October 08, 2013, 11:22:00 am »
Hey guys, I told you I'd post with the next issue,

Any thoughts what this is?

I need to replace the control pots (V. Hold etc) on the main board as they currently are connected to an interface for a different style game board. Could that be all this is?

Note, there is no signal being sent to that display at the time I see this rolling.

look like severe vertical foldover but could be a corroded deflection yoke causing it as the pattern looks very similar to one i had the same issue with recently

Thanks for the reply, how can I fix it? Are there any guides online I could follow?

not a corroded deflection yoke you can't but you need to prove it first and the only way to do that is to test it on a known good working crt

first and foremost
fix them pots and hook them up right
second do not run  that monitor until u do so
U are driving it right out of freq the way u are going, and u run the risk of hortz or vert fauiler, fix the pots first, then do your tests
next time have a signal hooked to it
