Anybody know if they are easily hackable?
Most Madcatz controllers are. But I say you be the guinea-pig. I'd do it myself, but amazon.com doesn't sell to Canadians.  In other words....NOT IT! :D

Yes, I can see why they are so cheap!!!

Picked up two, I am not an expert but will try to post a pic of the PCB when I get them next week.

Good luck.  Hacking the triggers on those things SUCK.  There's a reason I don't touch them anymore.

I was thinking, in the project I would like to use them for, I only need 10 inputs per player (2 8way joys, start, coin), so with d-pad, face buttons, and start/back, I should be ok.... As far as hacking them, can I just ignore the triggers entirely or will they still be a problem?

Good to know that folks should pass if they have plans for the triggers!

If nothing else I will have a couple cheap (if extraordinarily ugly) pads for PC gaming...

Oh yeah, you can ignore the triggers, no problem.

All the other stuff, including RB and LB, are easy to hack.  It's just the triggers that are a PITA.
