Any fellow nerdlings going to Comic Con this year? A buddy of mine scored tickets for Saturday and Sunday. Im looking forward to it, havent been in years. He and his GF are going to dress up too, I was thinking of doing something as well. Something with a mask of course, in case I see someone.  ;D
Pictures are overrated anyway.

Awesome!

Please update us after you go.  I've thought of taking my oldest in the next couple of years before he leaves for college. Would like to know if it is worth attending.

If you are going to dress up go as a Muggle.   ;D

If you have the cajones to shave your head and go wearing next to nothing, then I think this Krang costume is for you:  :lol

@wp34 The bummer about comic con is that its hit and miss sometimes. Well, I guess depending on why you go. If you go for the whole movie/pop culture stuff, it kind of depends on whats coming out the following year. They always hype stuff up that way. The year before transformers came out, they had a huge optimus prime mack truck inside the hall, before iron man they had the first prop costume in a crate labeled stark industries etc. But if you go for the comics, then its the same ---steaming pile of meadow muffin--- everytime, same guys, different comics. Except for those old guys who attempt to sell the vintage comics, but nobody ever buys em.

Vigo. That is freaking hilarious. Im not as fat as that guy though, so I would be kind of a buff Krang haha! The krang head looks great though.

Sure thing PBJ.

Im excited, but dreading it as well... There are SO many people... :banghead:

Well no matter how it goes, I hope you have fun, man!  Aren't there at least scantily clad women at these things?  :dunno

You know, I had always wondered why Krang's body was this fat dude who wore tight speedos but had cottage cheese thighs. Was this his impression of what he thought humans would find as a horrible scary monster?

Thank you friend! The ticket is free, so even if it sucks I wont feel bad. And yes. There are. Some pornstars were there one year. Chasey Lain is pretty hot in person, short too.

Yeah no joke! I always wondered that too.  :dunno

Thanks for the update.  My son is more into Anime and I used to be into comics pretty heavily.  I thought maybe the movie stuff would be a nice compromise.

I used to go every year with friends of mine when we were in college, it was pretty fun back then, WAY smaller to.  We would show up around noon and bum badges off of people who were just there for the morning.  I loved how all the comic guys were there and you could have them draw you stuff and just shoot the ---steaming pile of meadow muffin--- with them, well all of them except Todd MacFarlane. - dick-.... anyway, I haven't gone in years.  Its definitely more of a pop-culture con than comics, its way too huge and way too crowded for my taste, plus I haven't read comics in over a decade, and I really don't give a ---steaming pile of meadow muffin--- about next year's sci-fi channel show lineup.

I still have friends that go every year, they buy reams of useless collector crap. Let us know how it is.

Now, they are like 20-40 bucks.  I remember when I went years back they would always have exclusive figures, then they would have variants.  Like one year I got some batman doll, and it was some kind of variant and then I ebay-ed it for like 400 bucks the next day.

I havent uploaded any pictures yet, but when I do, youll be the first to know! If you were into Spiderman at all when you were a kid, then you would know who I was, I was dressed up as the Scarlet Spider, Peter Parkers clone! Also known as Ben Reilly! Look it up.  ;)

Bat Girl's kinda cute, is she into watersports or is that just your girlfriend?

Thats just her body talking. Why do you think she is wearing a mask? Ahh...no... Thats just... my girlfriend.  ::)

I love how you still remember that though.  :lol
