I searched the forums and found a lot of advanced topics, but nothing as basic as this question...

First build here and pretty excited about the project!  I'm trying to figure out whether I should go with a 27" Toshiba CN27H95 that I have or should I pop for a used 21"+ CRT computer display?  (I do not have the electronic know-how to go with an arcade monitor on my first build.)  The TV would go with a Radio Shack RF modulator.

Any help for someone just getting into this addiction would be much appreciated!

Thanks.

RF modulator! That will look like garbage. Use the CRT monitor

  • I LIKE my hat!
from what I can find that tv has component in, if you can get a graphics card that does component out you would be golden, even if you can't that tv should have 2 composite in and one s-video, I don't see why you'd be using an rf modulator with this tv at all

I've suspected that the RF modulator might not be a good solution - thanks.
