How do i spot a real playstation 1 memory card?

Hi, guys, i badly need to find a official sony (made by sony) memory card for my ps 2 slim to use for my playstation 1 games. I know there alot of fakes that look real and wont work with the slim ps 2 units. Can some one give me some advise? Thanks!

I'm looking at this but im not sure if its real.

Sony Playstation PlayStation Memory Card (White)

Platform: PlayStation

And on Amazon.... I'd say it's pretty close to being the real deal.  ;)

I have about 5 different makes of memory card for both the ps1 and ps2 slim and they work great.

I do not know what your problem is with them, but I even get the 3rd hand from the pawn shops and they work (and have saves on them too!!!) with no problems at all.

If I had only one wish, it would be for three more wishes.

If they stick with the 1MB (or whatever size the OEM ones are) size constraint, I've never heard problems about them either. It's the ---fouled up beyond all recognition--- up ones that either leverage some kind of unauthorized hardware compression or bump the card size up that you generally hear problems about. I remember one particular card that came with larger memory where you could "page" between virtual memory cards that caused lots of complaints.

"OFFICIAL" Memory card is the name your after.

your after model #: SCPH-1020 if it's not on the back then it's not the real deal.
