I'm in a work slump. If any of you are in an industry where you hire freelance Flash developers and animators (for banner ads, adver-games or websites) please contact me!

If you're replying to a troll you are part of the problem.
I also need to follow this advice. Ignore or report, don't reply.

Penii cost extra. I like drawing BEWBZ.

Just to clarify I'm more DEV than artist. I dropped art a long time ago, but having that art background is an advantage in many ways.

I was at an "Adobe for mobile" meeting last night and during the "Hello my name is..." I saw a pattern with the people that called themselves "Flash Developers" and the ones that called themselves "Flash Programmers".

The programmers were all the no nonsense nerdy looking people and the developers were the hip artsy types.

I assumed that Adobe Flash developers were just vector artists who wanted to be paid more than Adobe Illustrator designers.

Now that's just retarded. I think you have it backwards. There's a bad habit of website designers learning how to do a little bit HTML markup and they start calling themselves programmers. And on the Flash side there are Flash designers who learn to use "gotoAndPlay()", "stop()" and attaching a script to a button and they call themselves programmers too.

I'm not one of those idiots, if that's what you were implying.

Sorry, that's not what I meant. I can't draw or animate for poop, I just program. I respect people that can, I just don't hear them calling themselves Flash artists/designers so I assumed a developer was a designer looking for more money.

Like I said I was at a meeting the day before and I noticed some people called themselves programmers and others called themselves developers.  It seemed obvious who was calling themselves what. But I could have come to the wrong conclusion.  The younger, hipper ones were calling themselves developers so it may be that the word programmer is now obsolete and only used by the older less hip programmers/developers.

I find it funny when terms change because they've become offensive, like using "exit" or "close" instead of "quit".
Do you want to exit this application?
No, I want this application to quit.
