Cirqus Voltaire pinball - high end restoration
« on: November 13, 2010, 01:33:21 am »
This game started out very nice...is it cheating by restoring a mint condition game? 10500 original plays...no playfield wear, just slightly dull. With some cleaning and my 11 step polishing process, the playfield is now as shiny as a fresh clearcoat.

I cleaned and flame polished everything plastic, and all the topside metal parts were buffed. There were 8 dead microswitches, so all were replaced.

I have also installed highly polished and plated hardware including the lockdown bar, legs, chromed ball shooter rod and housing. I have yet to install plated siderails...they were out of stock  :(

A handful of LEDs leftover from Iron Plastic Man have been installed because I ran out of money for now. Later, I'll install full LEDs all over this game, as well as a highly polished, chromed coin door.

Enjoy the pictures:  :)

Looks good, but don't just give us the final photos.  We like to follow along with the process.  Photos at the start and at each step keep us interested (and we can learn)

Again, nice looking pin!
