Mame shortcut keys

Is there anyway to assign shortcut keys to options inside the menu of Mame? I would love to have a key to rotate the screen from picture to landscape when I rotate my monitor for those games.

You can set vertical and horizontal games to auto rotate within the MAME.INI

I don't have it in front of me to tell you exactly.

I think it's autoror 1 to rotate right and autorol 1 to rotate left.
