Maybe it's just because I am running out of space so I am more interested in multikits for my dedicated cabs, but it seems to me that this is a great time for them.

jrok's SYSFPGA MultiWilliams helped bring the voice back to my Joust cocktail and lets me get my Robotron fix in my MW upright.

Dave and Mike's Exidy 440 Multikit left Chicago today and is winging its way here as I post this.

AND, it looks like Scott Brasington has resumed work on his Asteroids multigame!

Cool times.

I would love for JROK to put his great mind towards an MCR replacement. Think of the games it could save and do multi of:

Demolition Derby
Discs of Tron
Domino Man
Journey
Kick/Kickman
Kozmik Kroozr
NFL Football
Satan's Hollow
Solar Fox
Tapper
Timber
Tron
Two Tigers
Wacko

The original boards required 2x Z80's and 2x AY-3-8910's so there could be up to 6 socketed chips (with code eprom, batt backed memory), but would be a tremendous replacement for the failing SSIO,CPU and Video board sets and those aweful interconnects of all flavors.

That would certainly save me the pain that I am having with my Tron boards.

Don't forget the Q-bert multi kit that was re-released earlier in the year.  As well as the Mylstar / Gottleib FPGA board that JROK (of the multiwilliams fame) is currently working on.

My current collection:  Arkanoid^3, Asteroids Deluxe, Centipede, Donkey Kong w/DIIK, Frenzy w/Berzerk multi, Galaga, Galaxian, Gyruss, Mappy,  Missile Command, Multi-Williams, O'Boyles Arcade (Mame), Pac-man,  Sinistar, Star Wars, Tempest, War Gods

I can almost hear the kids wondering why we bother with real kits ...
