Refreshing "Other Emu"'s?
« on: January 28, 2010, 09:53:27 pm »
Hey there, I've been working on MaLa for the last couple of days and have been pretty happy with it so far.  It has a few weird things that take a bit to figure out, but so far  I've had success in figuring out how to do most things...except one.

How do I refresh a list of games for 'other emulators'?  I started with a few PSX ISO's and then customized the game list to fix the names and cut out duplicates.  But now that I"ve added a few more games in the directory structure, I can't figure out how to add them to the games list.  Clicking on "Add Game" doesn't work, and all the refresh options seem to be greyed out.  I can't figure out how to do it from within mala game list either.

Can anyone help me out?  I'm using MaLa 1.62g, by way.  And here's a picture of MaLa + my custom artwork in action...

EDIT: I'm also having issues with adding more than one "Other Emu"  The second 'other emu' I add one shows up as blank in MaLa Game List and Mala Tree, and no games are listed in Mala Game List. :(

That option is greyed out for me.  I'm using a Tree view where there is a main screen, a MAME-only game list submenu and a Playstation-only game list submenu.

Well, I figured it out.  I had playstation games in its own game list instead of all games.  Deleting that and going back to 'all games' fixed that.

But now I have another problem.  I'm trying to add SNES games to the games I already have, and it's not showing up in the games list editor.

What's going on _here_?

You're correct.  Deep-sixing my 1.62g config and reverting to the last stable version of MaLa worked out like a champ.

Now the only issue is trying to get emulators like WinUAE that require disk swapping to work...but that's a whole 'nother can of worms.  Thanks for your help.

Yeah the next Beta will handle the emu file changes a bit better
