Pictures wanted - "Time Out" Richland Mall, PA
« on: September 05, 2008, 09:47:47 am »
I'm considering making a marquee for my MAME cabinet and would like to use the name "Time Out" as a tribute to the local arcade that closed quite some time ago. It was in the Richland Mall near Johnstown, PA.

Does anyone have any links to sites that would have images of their (or any other arcade) signage?

Thanks

This is the holy grail of Time Out imagery and info.

http://www.timeouttunnel.com/

Unfortunately I do not think they have a Time Out specific to your location (I looked for the same thing to) but there is a lot of artwork you can use. I also worked on a vector logo of the Time Out logo I am familiar with (80s version...more blocky) I have it somewhere if you want to use it. Just drop me a PM.

I have yet to build my cab, but when I do, there is a good possibility that it will be a Time Out theme. Definitely have some great memories of that place.

A minute after posting, I found the site you linked. I've been digging through Time Out Tunnel since I posted and I emailed Peter (Same guy that runs the Luna City Arcade) asking for some specifics.

Hopefully, I can get some sort of "Time Out" theme together for my Taito or one of my current bartop projects.

Thanks for the link, and yes I'd like whatever you might have completed, no matter what it looks like.

rhuel.adams@gmail.com if you would please.

Update: Peter has replied to my post on klov...any help from the kind folks here is still greatly appreciated.

I will email you the file on Monday since it is somewhere on my work computer. Can you take Illustrator files? Also if you are in contact with Peter again, ask him if he would be interested in a vector file of the Time Out logo (the blocky style one)

Were these "Time Out" arcades affiliated with the Namco arcades also named "Time Out"? They look completely different, but I had thought the Namco arcades had been around for a while until several different names like Aladdin's Castle and Time Out.

I can take .ai files. Thanks!! I'll see if Peter wants the file as well.

From what I understand Namco bought out Time Out and changed the logo.
