Since the development of the SalmonKing jukebox software has stopped, I have started to write my own clone of the software to deal with certain issues I have always had with it. I like the look and feel so I'm going to keep that. It will be written in Python using the Pyglet library for graphics and multimedia. This will make it both cross platform and open source.

I am open to suggestions that you would like to see in the first release that needed to be improved in the next version of SamonKing. Also name ideas would be fun too Smiley

I have a interface in MultiFE (MultiJuke), where I tried to use the same controls and shortcuts as Sk-Jukebox do. But I didn't copy the look & fell directly from Sk-Jukebox, but instead have a similar interface that can resable it, but still not a clone of it. This was due to a respect to his software (a Keypad or 2 button system is used to insert songs here).

I do not understand Python, but it nice idea to have this crossplatform.

Otherwise good luck  Cheesy. It take a longer time as you expected.

jmricker, this would be awesome to get something started! the only issue I have with it now is that every now and then (i dont have a reason for it) on my juke when I press my button for next letter like 4 times in a row, it will not continue on to the next letter until I hit the next page button first then and only then will it let me continue onto the next letter. I dont know if that makes any sense but its strange. If I hit next letter a few times in a row sometimes it gets 'stuck' at a certain letter and I have to hit next page button once to like skip further on in the albums then I am able to hit next letter again and move forward until it 'sticks' again.

Thank you for the good news,

I suggest to be able to see the cue list a little more than only 5 songs

Best regards,

the only problem I have with skjukebox is on my cab, where I'm using a std tv.  Thus the resolution is 800x600.  At that resolution, some menu screen are useless.

Exemple, the list screen, allowing you to manage the songs order (move up/move dn/mix it up) doesn't work, because you don't have access to some button (out of screen)
