Extreme makeover: Benny B's Arcade
« on: March 23, 2008, 11:06:14 pm »
Benny B's Arcade was my very first attempt at building a mame cab.
This was over two years ago.
I didnt document it very much at all.
I now plan to remake it.
On the drawing board:
Rip out the 17" CRT and install a 19" rotating monitor.
Upgrade the 990 MHZ AMD to 2.4 gig pentium 4.
Redo the control panel. Add a trackball and maybe more admin buttons.
Redo the marquee.
Possibly rename this cab.
Here are some pics as it currently is.

A frontal shot of the control panel and monitor. The plexi I used was way too thin. This will be changed.

Control panel. The dorky instruction sheets have got to go.

Marquee..

The monitor mounting method (Patent pending)
