WWF Superstars (1989) question
« on: June 23, 2005, 09:11:52 am »

I just started playing this game last night.  I forgot all about it, but threw alot of lunch money into that thing.

It was a two button game, but does anyone remember how to pull off the special moves?  Is it possible to taunt the other players/crowd?

well its not like wrestlefest if thats what you mean, but there are some special moves you can do.  if i remember right, they just kinda happen.  for instance, hacksaw's bulldog...you just wear the guy down enough and start mashing buttons and he does it.  hulk hogans leg drop...you just have the guy on the gorund and push a button and he does it.  its really pretty simple...and rather disappointing.  wrestlefest is a much better wrestling game, but superstars is very cool too.

You know, I am very tempted to make a wrestling based cab.  Wrestling games only, baby!

So?  You wouldn't have to make swappable panels or anything.  I'm thinking a bartop with a nice WWF theme, maybe small enough for a 14" LCD.

hmmm, well go for it...seems like not enough for a whole cab though...even if it is bartop.

Depends, I kind of view it sitting next to one of these:
