Comes with Windows Phone 8, but updates to 8.1
GPS
Nokia phones come with onboard maps (well they have to be downloaded), which mean they work without cell reception or phone activation.
Nokia owns Navteq which provides the maps for Garmin, this is the same map data as Garmin.
The phone will take much, much, longer to get a GPS fix if you don't have data service.
I haven't used this particular phone, but the older Lumia 900 that I carry daily has voice navigation, so I assume this phone does.
No camera flash
home buttons aren't illuminated
screen feels like plastic to the touch, but touchscreen works with gloves on
weighs almost nothing, which makes it feel cheep IMO
Cortana isn't much more than a rebranding of Bing voice search. (ask her anything, the phone displays results from Bing....at least on this model)
