I received the cable for my cd-player and intalled a legit Win 7 without the card inside to see if this helps (and because I have no blank cd for groovyarcade for the moment) then putted the card back and I still had nothing after the bios.

So I bought another card (Sapphire HD 4670) and a legit Win Xp x86 (because it seems that some emulators don't like the x64).
Now I'm waiting for them to come.

See you later for the final act!

P.S.: How do I know if my card needs a DVI to VGA plug? My previous 4xxx one was working in 15Khz directly on the VGA so I'm wondering about it.

Ok, we'll see how it works.

Both outputs work, but only one of them will stay on after reboot when you plug an arcade monitor to it. BTW, which output have you been using with your 4350?

Thanks Calamity.
I'm not sure to follow you though. Do you mean that I can use only one of the outputs after I installed the CRT emudrivers and reboot? So then I don't have to worry? I can try directly with the VGA and if it's not the good one, nothing will happen so then I'll have to use the DVI and an adapter, no?

With my 4350 I was using the VGA directly. And in fact I forgot but recently I swapped a 4670 inside my mamebox so the one with the problem is a 4670 (Sapphire branded like the new one I ordered but a different model) and I used this one with VGA and at the end with HDMI too (on LCD only of course).

Yeah, that's how we do it.

So didn't you try to just connect this card through DVI with an DVI->VGA converter?

Be aware that connecting an HDMI is going to alter the order the devices are detected on boot and probably will leave the arcade monitor with no video at all.

No I did not try the DVi->VGA converter because I don't have my CRT for some days so the only options was to connect a DVI->HDMI to the TV or directly the HDMI.

Good to know for the HDMI, really good to know, I will take care of that for the next one.

Hum... How to say it... I tried my card with a legit XP (Pro x86 SP3) AND by using the VGA into the LCD this time (several times) and it just works all the time!
I don't see the bios screen though with the VGA... And if I switched back to the DVI port, same thing: I get the bios screen and then it's kind of bricked...

Weird... but anyway it works now! Thanks a lot for your help Calamity (once more)!

Ok, that's good! It remais a mystery however why it locks when connecting the LCD through the DVI port. Maybe this MSI brand is one to stay away with after all.

I'm not sure about that, the card is still working perfeclty with 15khz monitors so at the end that's the only thing we want, no?  ;)
